On 7 May 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, took delivery of four units of Super Post Panamax ship-to-shore gantry cranes (quay cranes) manufactured by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The arrival of these high-technology cranes coincided with the completion of the Wharf 9 upgrading project, which was completed ahead of schedule after commencing in December 2024.
