Johari Abdul Muid, an Independent Non-Executive Director, was appointed on 22 April 2025. He currently serves as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and as a member of the Audit Committee and the Finance, Investment and Risk Committee.

Johari was admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (“CIMA”) in 1997, subsequently advanced to Fellowship status, and is currently a retired member of the Institute. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (“ICDM”).

Johari has over 30 years of experience in the corporate and financial industry, including banking, capital markets and social security. He has held key positions such as Head of the Treasury Division at Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd (1983–1994), Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales at CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd (1994-2003), Chief Investment Officer of Valuecap Sdn Bhd (2003-2004), Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Employees Provident Fund (2004-2011), Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of RHB Bank Berhad (2011-2013).

Johari has also served on numerous Boards of Directors (“Boards”) and committees, including Bursa Malaysia Berhad, Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad, and Nomura Asset Management Malaysia. He was a member of the Investment Panel of Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pencen and held Board positions within the RHB Banking Group, representing EPF. He currently serves on the Boards of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad and Protect Health Corporation Sdn Bhd.
