On 8 October 2025, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, took a significant stride in its commitment to Environmental Sustainability with the official launch of its new Composting Project. The Facility transforms the port’s organic waste into high-quality compost, pioneering a sustainable “closed-loop” Waste Management System.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Haji Mustaffa Kamal bin Dato Haji Shamsudin, Mayor of Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang (MBPG), who commended Johor Port’s proactive efforts in advancing Pasir Gudang’s sustainable development goals.
