Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, has further strengthened its operational capabilities with the acquisition of three new reach stackers and eight empty container handlers from XCMG Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd (XCMG).

A handover ceremony for the equipment was held at Wharf 8A on 1 July 2026, and was attended by representatives from both Northport and XCMG. As a symbolic gesture, Lucus Ren Wei Jie, General Manager of XCMG Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, presented a replica key to Ir. Zai Abas, General Manager, Facilities, Equipment & Maintenance of Northport.
