Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, has achieved a historic operational milestone, becoming the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle over 14 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEU) in a single calendar year. This landmark achievement was recorded just three weeks after PTP crossed the 13 million TEUs mark on 31 December 2025, following the handling of the vessel Meratus Medan 5.

To commemorate this outstanding success, PTP organised a road tour from 2 to 9 January 2026, featuring a prime mover hauling a container branded with the “14 million TEUs” milestone. The tour was attended by thousands of PTP staff, contractors, customers, and stakeholders, celebrating the historic moment.
