On 22 July 2026, Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed a delegation of 45 officers and personnel from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Butterworth Air Base as part of the Butterworth Air Base Safety Week 2026 Programme. The visit was organised to provide participants with exposure to port safety practices, occupational health measures and operational excellence within the maritime industry.

During the visit, the delegation attended a briefing on Penang Port’s operations and a dedicated session on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices, delivered by Penang Port’s Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Department. Participants also took part in a guided port tour, gaining first-hand insights into the port’s safety standards, operational processes and industry best practices.
