Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, hosted 17 scholars under the MMC Scholarship Program for an Educational Sharing Session and Site Visit, giving students from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia an opportunity gain first-hand exposure to the Maritime and Logistics sector beyond the classroom.
On 10 August 2026, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed the MV Batamindo Leo on her maiden call. The 220 TEUs Feeder vessel berthed at the Johor Port Container Terminal (JCT) Wharf at 5.00 pm, inaugurating a new Regional Feeder service offering shippers greater connectivity between Malaysian and Indonesian Ports.
On 4 August 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), members of the MMC Group, alongside Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga Darul Ta’zim (YPKDT), continue to advance women’s empowerment and community development in Johor through the launching of RATU 2026.
On 1 and 2 August 2026, 30 B40 single mothers and their mentors were gathered together at Port of Tanjung Pelepas for the Kursus Intensif Perniagaan – Kursus Asas Segi 3 Bisnes, as part of the broader RATU 2026 Programme.

On 10 July 2026, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, proudly welcomed OOCL Hamburg on its maiden call at the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT), marking another significant milestone in strengthening the port’s regional and international connectivity.
On 9 July 2026, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, recently organised a Drug-Free Pledge Recital and Urine Screening Programme involving 55 Auxiliary Police officers and personnel at the Security & Emergency Services Office, Bagan Dalam Slipway, Butterworth.
Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, has further strengthened its operational capabilities with the acquisition of three new reach stackers and eight empty container handlers from XCMG Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd (XCMG). A handover ceremony for the equipment was held at Wharf 8A on 1 July 2026, and was attended by representatives from both Northport and XCMG. As a symbolic gesture, Lucus Ren Wei Jie, General Manager of XCMG Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, presented a replica key to Ir. Zai Abas, General Manager, Facilities, Equipment & Maintenance of Northport.

This event stands as one of the region's most prestigious platforms celebrating excellence in people strategy and employee experience.
