On 27 January 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, was recognised with the Exceptional Achievement Award at the Prime Minister's Hibiscus Award (PMHA) 2024/2025, held at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The ceremony was graced by YB Dato' Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability.
On 15 & 16 January 2026, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, mobilised a Flood Relief Initiative for Southern Thailand 2026, focusing on Hat Yai, following severe flooding that affected communities in the area towards the end of 2025.
On 16 January 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, hosted the Vendor Engagement Tea Session 2026 at Botanic Resort Club, Klang.
Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, has recently hosted a courtesy visit by Palmtop Vegeoil Products Sdn Bhd (Palmtop) led by Dato' RA Sukumaran, the Executive Chairman of Palmtop. The visit marked a meaningful milestone in further strengthening the relationship between both organisations.
On 7 January 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, received 18 units of new vehicles to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen support services across the port. The fleet comprises 10 Mitsubishi Triton pick-up trucks and 8 Isuzu lorries, with the handover ceremony held at the Northport C Building parking area.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, has recently been recognised as a 5-Star Lister on the ESG Select List 2025 by the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB). PTP is among the first five organisations in Malaysia, as well as the first and only company in Johor to attain this distinction.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), has achieved a historic operational milestone, becoming the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle over 14 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEU) in a single calendar year. This landmark achievement was recorded just three weeks after PTP crossed the 13 million TEUs mark on 31 December 2025, following the handling of the vessel Meratus Medan 5.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of the MMC Group, has recently secured the top honour, taking first place in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) category at the prestigious National Fire Safety Award 2025.
On 6 December 2025, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, participated in the Port Klang City Cleaning and Beautification Programme to enhance the image of Port Klang as a clean and vibrant port city. The initiative was spearheaded by the Port Klang Authority (PKA) in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Diraja Klang (MBDK).
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), has achieved a significant operational milestone. PTP has surpassed its previous best to become the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle over 13 million TEUs in a single calendar year.
