On 19 May 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of the MMC Group, has been recognised for its outstanding achievements at the recent Employee Experience Awards (EXA) 2026 Malaysia. This event stands as one of the region's most prestigious platforms celebrating excellence in people strategy and employee experience.
On 19 May 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor Ports Berhad (Johor Port), members of the MMC Port Holdings Berhad (MMC Ports) were recently honoured with several prestigious accolades at the Johor Port Authority’s event, "From Policy to Practice: Advancing Gender Equality for Maritime Excellence – A Night of Distinction."
On 16 May 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised the 13th edition of the Northport Futsal Challenge at Frenzy Sports Arena, Section 16, Shah Alam. The tournament was officiated by Jovina Yong, Head of Commercial Division.
On 14 May 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, launched its PTP Safety Day 2026 under the theme “We Are Safer Together”, reaffirming the company’s commitment towards fostering a safer, healthier and more supportive workplace culture across all levels of the organisation.
On 12 May 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted a working visit from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), led by Mohd Azhar Abd. Rahim, Head of the Finance and Procurement Unit. The delegation was welcomed by Nasution Saad Putra Saad, PTP Head of Government Liaison and Free Zone Authority, alongside Norita Nasir, Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
On 7 May 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, took delivery of four units of Super Post Panamax ship-to-shore gantry cranes (quay cranes) manufactured by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The arrival of these high-technology cranes coincided with the completion of the Wharf 9 upgrading project, which was completed ahead of schedule after commencing in December 2024.
From 28 to 30 April 2026, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, hosted the HAZMAT First Responder Port Klang 2026 training programme in collaboration with the Port Klang Authority (PKA), Westports Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Westports) and the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM).
On 27 April 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted a familiarisation visit by YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). The Deputy Minister was accompanied by YB Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, Member of Parliament for Tebrau; YB Arthur Chiong Sen Sern, Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly for Bukit Batu; Mohamad Reduan Mohd Zabri, Director for the Malaysian Investment Development Authority Johor (MIDA), and several senior officials from MITI.
On 24 April 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted a visit by Dato' Sri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia, and his team from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM). The visit was part of a familiarisation programme aimed at providing DOSM with a deeper understanding of PTP's strategic investments in digitalisation and automation technologies to optimise its core operational processes.
On 9 April 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted a delegation from the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (EuroCham) for a site visit focused on the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
