On 14 November 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, was bestowed with the distinguished Gold Award at the Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor Sustainability Awards 2024 which was celebrated during the illustrious Johor Port Authority’s Port Nite 2024.
On 8 to 10 November 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group was part of the Karnival Madani Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor 2024. The fantastic event, organised by Johor Port Authority, showcased the vibrant life in the port industry and offered a variety of exciting activities for all ages including the annual Explorace, engaging exhibition, insightful talks, and creative colouring contests.
On 7 November 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration.
On 5 November 2024, the Port Security and Safety Department of Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, organised the annual Ecocraft Competition, a unique programme designed to promote recycling habits and environmental stewardship among the port community.
On 3 November 2024, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, has successfully inked a strategic partnership with Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) to fortify Johor’s talent pipeline.
Recently, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, has been awarded the Green Port Award System 2024 (GPAS 2024), a prestigious accolade recognising excellence in environmental and sustainable port operations.
On 22 October 2024, representing Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport, participated in a CEO Panel Session.
On 19 October 2024, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), a member of MMC Group, successfully collaborated with St Nicholas’ Home Penang to organise White Cane Day 2024. PPSB served as one of the key partners and sponsors. This collaboration aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the blind and visually impaired (BVI) community and to promote accessibility in public spaces.
From 9 to 12 October 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd ("Northport"), a member of MMC Group, continued its commitment to promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) principles through its participation in the Klang Sustainable Convention 2024 ESG for SDG.
8 October 2024 – In collaboration with Johor Port Skills Centre (“JPCS”), Tanjung Bruas Port (“TBP”) hosted an Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) policy awareness talk at Qashrina Chalet, Tanjung Minyak, Melaka. The event attended by 30 port’s contractors and suppliers together with TBP’s Management and staff.
