On January 18, 2024, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a proud member of MMC Group, orchestrated the South Thailand Customer Appreciation Dinner at Centara Hotel, Hat Yai, Thailand, with the aim of fortifying business relationships with esteemed customers from South Thailand.
On 16 January 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group continued its commitment to the enhancement of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). The primary objective of the MoU is to facilitate the sharing of experiences, expertise, technical proficiency, resources and knowledge between both parties.
On 11 January 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, welcomed YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia for the Majlis Beramah Mesra with the employees of PTP and MMC Group in Gelang Patah.
On 5 January 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group received a visit from Sinar Karangkraf Sdn Bhd (Sinar Karangkraf). The Sinar Karangkraf delegation was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Fara Hussamuddin. Also present during the visit were Editor-in-Chief, Zambri Ramli; General Manager of Advertising, Airol Fadley; Editor of Sinar Daily, Tasnim Lokman; Executive Editor Digital, Ruzy Adila; Head of Marketing, Nik Justin as well as the editorial team of Sinar Harian.
On 27 December 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, reached a remarkable milestone of successfully removing and selling 18 Ship to Shore (STS) cranes in just two years.
On 20 December 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, successfully inked an agreement with Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) to procure 48 electric rubber tyre gantry cranes (e-RTG).
On 15 December 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, welcomed a delegation from Vietnam Provincial People’s Council led by Mai Ngoc Thuan, Permanent Vice Chairman for a working visit to view the port’s latest development.
On 20 December 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, successfully inked an agreement with Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) to procure 48 electric rubber tyre gantry cranes (e-RTG).
On 12 December 2023, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, contributed two units of inflatable lifeboats type MA420 complete with 30HP engines to Pertubuhan Amal Kebajikan Daerah Pontian (PAKAT). The handover ceremony was officiated by Johor Port’s Chief Executive Officer, Md Derick Basir at Tasik Stesen Mardi, Kluang, Johor. Also present together in the event were Shamsudin bin Jaafar, Chairman of PAKAT, Dr Karim bin Deraman, Chairman of NGO Khidmat Malaysia Negeri Johor, Ahmad Nawfal bin Dato’ Dr. Mahfodz, Advisor of Jabatan Amal Malaysia Negeri Johor and K C Low, Head of Corporate Affairs Division, Johor Port.
Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, participated in the 28th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28), held from 30 November until 12 December at Expo City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
