On 10 August 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, hosted its 16th annual Northport Bowling Challenge at Sunway Mega Lanes, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre. The event drew an impressive turnout of 48 teams, showcasing the strong bonds between Northport and its business partners.
On 8 August 2024, the Chief Executive Officer of Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, participated in the 2024 CEO Master Class Sabah. The event, held at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, brought together approximately 800 of Sabah’s business leaders and entrepreneurs.
On 2 to 6 August 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, has successfully hosted its inaugural Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Sustainability (HSSES) Week 2024. With the theme, "From Adherence to Commitment", PTP underscored its unwavering dedication to creating a sustainable and responsible operating environment.

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, recently showcased its commitment to promoting career opportunities and empowering talent in the port and logistics industry by participating in two carnivals in the Klang Valley.
From 25 to 27 July 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, participated in the 8th Selangor International Business Summit 2024 (SIBS 2024). The event, organised by Invest Selangor Berhad and hosted by the State Government of Selangor, took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Southpoint, a port facility operated by Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, has achieved a remarkable milestone by setting a new record for the highest monthly cargo handling volume. In May 2024, Southpoint handled a total of 297,337 Metric Tons (MT) of cargo, marking a significant growth of 59.1% compared to the same month last year. This performance surpasses the previous record of 289,826 MT set in August 2001.
On 15 July 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, opened its doors for an educational visit by a group of lecturers from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). This educational visit provided an invaluable opportunity for the lecturers to gain firsthand insights into the port’s operations, infrastructure and logistics management.
On 13 July 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, hosted an inter-agencies friendly bowling tournament which electrified the lanes of Daiman Bowl in Johor Jaya with excitement. Organised by the Free Zone & Property Department, this event aimed at strengthening ties with the various Government Agencies through an entertaining and competitive tournament.
On 11 July 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, had the pleasure of hosting an enthusiastic group of young apprentices from Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) for an immersive visit aimed at deepening their understanding on the operations of a Multi-Purpose Port.
