KUALA LUMPUR: MMC Corp Bhd’s Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd has inked an agreement with China’s Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co Ltd (ZPMC) to acquire 58 eco-efficient electrified rubber-tyred gantry (e-RTG) cranes, as part of its expansion plans.
KUALA LUMPUR: The logistics sector in Johor remains poised for growth, bolstered by Johor Port and the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), both of which continue to maintain low vessel dwell times.
PORT of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between Malaysia based MMC Group and Netherlands based APM Terminals, achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle over 12,253,309 twenty – foot equivalent units (TEUs) in a single year for the year 2024.
GEORGE TOWN: Penang has attracted an impressive investment inflow in the industrial sector this year, with approved investments up to the third quarter (3Q) hitting RM22.6 billion.
NORTHPORT (M) Bhd, a member of MMC Group, has achieved a significant milestone as Taiwan-based shipping lines Wan Hai Lines (M) Sdn Bhd and Interasia Lines (M) Sdn Bhd recorded a combined throughput of two million twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) at the port within a single year.
