PORT of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture (JV) between MMC Group and APM Terminals, has signed an agreement with Sany Marine Heavy Industry Co Ltd for the purchase of four new quay cranes as part of its expansion plans.
GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Ferry Floating Museum, housed in the decommissioned iconic ferry Pulau Pinang at the Tanjung City Marina, will open its doors at the end of the year.
The iconic Penang ferry, which is being modified into the Penang Ferry Museum, will be towed from the Bagan Dalam Slipway to the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) today.

PUTRAJAYA: Northport (M) Bhd expects rising import volume to continue supporting its conventional cargo volume going forward, while the port buckles up to receive more vessel diversion due to global geopolitical tensions.
NORTHPORT (M) Bhd, a member of MMC Group, has broken its monthly container and conventional cargo throughput records for the second consecutive month.
The record overtakes the previous record of 99,039 TEUs handled in July 2019 JOHOR Port Bhd, a member of MMC Group, recorded its highest monthly t h r o u g h p u t of 102,324 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEUs) in August 2024, making it the highest ever monthly throughout its history and overtaking the previous record of 99,039 TEUs handled in the month of July 2019.
