PTP 5th Most Efficient Container Port in the World, 1st in SE Asia

PORT of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Corp Bhd and Netherlands-based APM Terminals, is named the fifth most efficient container port in the world. According to the recently published 2023 Container Port Performance Index (CPPI), PTP has managed to surpass sixth place to the fifth rank. PTP has also secured the top spot in the South-East Asia (SE Asia) region.

Cruise Ship Arrivals up Nearly 18 Percent in Q1

PENANG holds the status as a favoured cruise tourism destination in Malaysia, as it consistently attracts a growing number of cruise liners to its port. State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said the number of international vessel berths and passenger numbers continued to exhibit an upward trend for January and February in both 2023 and 2024.

Spreading Cheer

SPREADING CHEER: Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) together with Johor Port Authority (JPA) continued their tradition of spreading the festive spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and bringing smiles to those in need around Gelang Patah and Johor Bahru. An estimated 380 recipients including orphans, single mothers, people with disabilities, poverty stricken families, and PDK (community based rehabilitation), benefitted from PTP-JPA Mahabbah Ramadan programme this year.
