Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, rolled out its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Jom Ke Sekolah Programme by contributing school supplies and financial aid to 100 primary school students in Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Cendana and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Pasir Putih, in line with the start of the 2023 academic year.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between Malaysian based MMC Group and Hague based APM Terminals continues its efforts to further drive sustainability in port and logistics industry by launching its Sustainability Framework & Targets: Together Towards A Sustainable Future to guide the company to deliver sustainable value by integrating environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) considerations into its core business.
Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group officially received 9 units of new Rubber Tyred Gantry (“RTG”) cranes. The new terminal equipment is the first batch of a total of 23 units of diesel-powered RTGs and 11 units of electrified RTGs or eRTGs purchased by Northport from Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui E&S”).
Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, officiated the opening of the Sungai Pulai Bridge and road connecting Gelang Patah with Tanjung Bin today with flagging-off public vehicles, making them the first users of the new infrastructure in Johor.
The prime movers are part of Kontena Nasional's business expansion plan to attain logistical excellence.
