Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between the MMC Group and APM Terminals, inked an agreement with Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) to procure 48 electric rubber tyre gantry cranes.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between Malaysian based MMC Group and Hague based APM Terminals has been named as the award winner of the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) Forward Faster Sustainability Awards 2023, under the main Enterprise Category: “The Forward Faster Sustainability Award – Gender Equality”. PTP was also recognised under the Recognition Categories: "Partnership for the Goals Recognition" and "Pioneer Sustainable Development Action Recognition".
Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), a prominent player in the port and logistics industry, has joined forces with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) in a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at spearheading sustainable practices and adopting advanced technology within the port and logistics field. This transformative partnership, known as the Smart Collaboration Programme, will position PPSB as a leading Smart and Green Port, paving the way for other industry players to follow suit.
Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group, was announced as the recipient of the Anugerah Perdana Penarafan Bintang Sasaran Penting (APBSP) 2023 under the Key Point ll category, during the appreciation award ceremony event held at the Leo Moggie Convention Centre, TNB Platinum Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur on 16th November 2023. The Chief Executive Officer of Northport, Dato' Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, was present to receive the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented by Yang Berhormat Senator Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs.

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals, secured another milestone when the terminal successfully sets a new shift volume record with 13,700 quayside moves in a single 12 hours shift, breaking its own previous shift record of 12,557 moves set in 2020. This result also sets a new hourly movement record of 1,308 quayside moves in a single hour.
