The new ferry operations are set to transform the way people travel in Penang and provide a more convenient, efficient, and eco-friendly mode of transportation for locals and tourists alike.

NORTHPORT CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF PORT OPERATIONS WITH BOWLING TOURNAMENT

In celebration of the momentous 60th anniversary of North Port's operations, its operator, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group, hosted the 15th edition of the Northport Bowling Challenge 2023 at Sunway Mega Lanes in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya. The tournament brought together 45 teams comprising Northport's esteemed customers from its various business segments. This event was part of a series of programs planned by Northport to celebrate the 60th anniversary of port operations in North Port which was originally named North Klang Straits berths before being renamed North Port in 1967.

YAN PORT MARKS ARRIVAL OF VLCCs AND EMERGING AS MAJOR PORT FOR STS TRANSFER OPERATIONS

Yan Port has become the first major port in the northern region of the Straits of Malacca to handle two Very Large Crude Carriers (‘VLCC’) inside its port limits. The Hong Kong-registered VLCCs with a length of 333 metres and 330 metres respectively and a maximum draft of 21 metres were the largest vessels to be handled by the port to date.
