THE REVIVAL OF CRUISE INDUSTRY IN PENANG: SWETTENHAM PIER CRUISE TERMINAL WELCOMES THE SPECTRUM OF THE SEAS

 On 2 July 2022, Penang Port Sdn Bhd welcomed back the international cruise after a long hiatus at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT). The Spectrum of the Seas, operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd is the first international cruise to reconnect holidaymakers with the Pearl of the Orient.

A total of 2,991 passengers were greeted with warm Malaysian hospitality, cultural performance and vibrant trishaws to bring them around Georgetown. All the passengers were also able to experience the upgraded SPCT which is about 30% bigger and will be able to handle 50% more passengers.
